The philosophy behind

Our philosophy at ORC is not just to provide technical information on boats, but give Sailors the best possible access to this information so they can use it to have an Equal Chance to Win. There are no secret formulations or hidden insights: in our system everything is published and everyone has the same access to the information: sailors, owners, designers, sailmakers and the like.
The tools available for these groups to access our system are mainly available online: and most of these are through the ORC Sailors Services system. There are others, such as subscribing to the Designer version of the VPP, that will be of interest to the more advanced technical users of our system.
Regardless of use intent, our philosophy remains the same: we develop the system and its tools for all to understand what is behind the process of determining the ratings for their boat.
