Registration Open for ORC Annual General Meeting 2025 in Dublin

The Offshore Racing Congress (ORC) is pleased to announce that registration is now open for the ORC Annual General Meeting 2025, which will take place at the Royal Marine Hotel in Dublin, Ireland, from October 31 to November 4, 2025.

After two inshore races sponsored by ALTER MARINE were completed today on Tallinn Bay, three new ORC World Champions have emerged at the 2025 Garmin ORC World Championship. Each had been at the top of their leaderboards for most of the week and have demonstrated their prowess in the mixed format of inshore and offshore racing in conditions that varied from light air to today’s blustery 20-25 knot winds.

Today’s return to racing at the 2025 Garmin ORC World Championship was on the Short offshore race powered by PANTAENIUS, featuring close racing in all three classes on courses of 47.4 miles for Class A, 41.8 miles for Class B and 33.6 miles for Class C. Wind conditions were quite varied, from as low as 8 knots to as high as 20 knots, and shifty enough to challenge the fleet for close tactical racing throughout the 5-6 hour durations of each race in each class.

Day Four of the Garmin ORC World Championship 2025 in Tallinn, Estonia, powered by A. Le Coq, began under beautiful sunshine — but with the Bay of Tallinn as flat as a mirror. Classes A and B headed out to the Bravo course area south of Naissaar to wait for wind, while Class C remained ashore with the AP flag hoisted.

Day 3 of the Garmin ORC World Championship 2025 featured inshore racing powered by Amserv Toyota, and the results after four races are starting to identify some clear leaders in each class. Thanks to favorable weather conditions – a westerly wind between 8 and 10 knots and a calm sea – PRO Sulis (aka Athanasios) Papantoniou decided to conduct three windward-leeward races in each class. Note that the results shown on the results page are provisional pending any protests.

After their start yesterday at 1000 local time the 64 teams entered in the Long offshore race powered by Piletilevi | PLG a wave of finishers from all three classes started arriving together about 1200 local time at the finish line in this first race of the 2025 Garmin ORC World Championship.

After a final day of preparation, a practice race, and opening ceremonies today, the crews in the assembled fleet of 65 teams from 9 nations entered in the 2025 Garmin ORC World Championship are ready for racing tomorrow, Monday, August 11th. The 2025 ORC European Championship, contested at the 43rd Copa del Rey MAPFRE, concluded with the Bay of Palma delivering sparkling sailing conditions for a fitting finale, which saw three of the four division titles decided on the last race. The final standings saw VESPER (USA) win ABANCA ORC 0, TECHNONICOL (EST) top Ubico ORC B, and Spanish teams ESTRELLA DAMM and NUNOTO CAFIVER take the titles in Sail Racing ORC A and Uber ORC C, respectively.
