Organizers at the Hellenic Offshore Racing Club (HORC) are pleased to announce that the entry process is now open for the sixth edition of the annual AEGEAN 600, held from 5 - 11 July 2026 at Olympic Marine in Lavrion, Greece.

The Hague, The Netherlands – The Offshore Racing Congress (ORC) and Jachtclub Scheveningen, in collaboration with the City of The Hague, are proud to announce that the ORC Double Handed World Championship 2026 will take place in Scheveningen from 18th to 25th of May, 2026, as part of the North Sea Regatta – the largest and most prestigious regatta on the North Sea.

Northern Europe’s big boat racing scene is entering a new chapter with the launch of the Viking Challenge, a Scandinavian and Northern European ORC regatta series set to begin in 2026. The Viking Challenge is designed to provide a unified, high-performance racing platform for the region’s most ambitious teams, connecting several of Northern Europe’s leading offshore events into one competitive series.

The Offshore Racing Congress (ORC), in cooperation with the Italian Sailing Federation (FIV) and the Italian Offshore Owners Association (UVAI), has introduced ORC Light, a simplified, entry-level handicap certificate designed to make it easier for boatowners new to racing to participate in local regattas.

Today, at a well-attended meeting of the 56th Offshore Racing Congress (ORC), with 31 Congress members from 19 countries in attendance, several important features of this system were reported.

The 2025 ORC Annual Report has just been published. The report provides a comprehensive overview of ORC activities, growth, and innovation throughout the year — from record participation and championship highlights to ongoing technical development projects.

The Royal Marine Hotel in Dún Laoghaire, Ireland, will host the ORC Annual General Meeting 2025 from October 31 to November 4. The meetings will be held in a hybrid format, offering both in-person and remote participation.

Kieler Yacht-Club organises a new offshore regatta. The name ‘400 Islands Race’ alone suggests challenging ocean sailing. In fact, the race starts in Kiel, circles (almost) all of the Danish Baltic Sea islands and returns to Kiel. With the start and finish in front of the historic KYC clubhouse in Kiel-Düsternbrook, sailing enthusiasts in Kiel will once again be able to experience yacht sailing ‘up close’ in June 2026.

The spotlight returns to the Gulf of Naples with the official launch of the 2026 Tre Golfi Sailing Week, set to take place from May 5 to May 28 and featuring three premier regattas: the ORC World Championship, the 71st Tre Golfi Offshore Regatta, and the IMA Maxi European Championship.

On Friday, October 17, representatives from seven yacht clubs and the Turkish Sailing Federation attended an ORC Workshop held in connection with the Knidos Cup, hosted by Datça Yacht Club last weekend.
