2025 Tre Golfi Week Begins with Tight ORC Racing

The Tre Golfi Sailing Week 2025 officially opened today under sunny skies and light breeze, with the first race of the ORC Mediterranean Championship, which also counts as the National Championship for Central and Southern Italy. Light winds prevent sailing more than one race.
Sandberg PalmaVela Class Winners Will Be Decided Sunday

The third day of the Sandberg PalmaVela regatta on the Bay of Palma saw a change of leader in four classes. After a postponement on shore waiting for the breeze to build, at 1300hrs the more than 100 teams from 19 countries competing in this edition docked out at the Real Club Náutico de Palma.

Ten new classes joined the action on Day 2, bringing the total to 11 divisions for this edition. Three racecourses and over a hundred yachts filled the Bay of Palma, where light and unstable winds kept both the Race Committee and the fleet on their toes until the very end. With winds proving too light in fact three classes will actually have to wait until tomorrow to make their debut.
Offshore Racing Season Kicks Off at MAIOR 2025 in Kiel!

The Baltic offshore racing season gets underway this weekend with MAIOR – the Mai Offshore Regatta – held annually in early May in the Strander Bucht near Kiel. From May 2–4, 35 teams from Germany, Denmark, and Sweden will line up to battle for early-season glory under the ORC rating rule.
La Larga crowns the winners of its fifth edition

After more than 37 hours of sailing, the offshore regatta of the 21st Sandberg PalmaVela came to an end this Monday, with victories for “Trifork” in IRC, “Azahar” in ORC 0, “Xummer” in ORC 1, “Alegría” in ORC 2-3, “Indigo” in ORC 4-5, “Modul” in ORC A2 0-2, and “Guaguanco IV” in ORC A2 3-4.
The Battle for La Larga begins as the fleet heads towards Ibiza

With very light winds and after a postponement of more than four hours, La Larga finally got underway today at 16h20 in the Bay of Palma. Close to 40 boats crossed the starting line to tackle a course of 235 nautical miles for the larger yachts —IRC, ORC 0, and ORC 1— and 185 miles for the ORC 2 to 5 and A2 classes.

The 2025 edition of the Energisa Búzios Sailing Week concluded this Sunday (April 20) at the Iate Clube Armação de Búzios (ICAB), with the final races for the BRA-RGS and ORC classes. More than 30 boats and 500 sailors participated in the event, which also served as the Brazilian Offshore Sailing Championship, organized by the Brazilian Offshore Sailing Association (ABVO).

Beyond the large yachts of the Maxi, ORC 0, ORC 1 and Spirit of Tradition fleets, the Sandberg PalmaVela is also a key event for medium and small-sized boats. In ORC alone—with eyes set on the upcoming European Championship, to be held during the Copa del Rey MAPFRE—43 boats have registered to compete across three classes: ORC 2, ORC 3, and ORC 4/5. They will be joined by seven entries in the 6 Metre class and 12 ORC Sportboat teams.

From April 17 to 20, Armação dos Búzios will once again be the stage for Búzios Sailing Week, one of Brazil’s most traditional and prestigious regattas.
