21 April 2025 - Pula, Croatia - Celebrating Earth Day under full sails, the 21st BRIONI CUP invites sailors to a stunning circular route around Brijuni National Park in Croatia. On Saturday, April 26, majestic sailboats will set sail from Pula harbour, embarking on a 20-nautical-mile course around the national park Brijuni and back.

This sporting and recreational event attracts both experienced sailors and passionate enthusiasts. The race starts at 11:00 AM, with a time limit set at 6:00 PM, and can be followed live via regate.com.hr.
“Sailing promotes a healthy and sustainable way of life at sea, sharpens maritime skills, and most importantly, relies solely on wind power. Regattas are not just about competition, they’re about progress, camaraderie, and celebrating the sailing spirit,” say organizers from JK Delfin.
The Brioni Cup is the third regatta of the season, counting towards the Argonaut Cup – the Istrian keelboat league. The first two were part of the Full Moon Sailing Spectacle series.
MIĆI KUP – Kids’ Sailing Promo
In the spirit of community and environmental awareness, a special event for children, the MIĆI KUP, will take place on Friday, April 25 from 6:00 to 7:00 PM. Children will have the opportunity to experience the magic of sailing on large keelboats, under the guidance of experienced skippers.
Parents, grandparents, kindergartens, schools, and institutions that support children with special needs are warmly invited to join us in Pula harbor for this free activity. Sailors will bring their boats into the harbor and offer kids a hands-on sailing experience. Larger groups should announce their participation by emailing info@jkdelfin.hr. Parents bringing children should arrive 30 minutes early for proper crew assignment.
Full Moon Ceremony & More
Also on Friday, starting at 9:00 PM, we will host the awards ceremony for the 4th Full Moon Sailing Spectacle, followed by a welcome gathering at the “Pula under Sail” exhibition space, located at Flaciusova 18. A perfect warm-up for Saturday’s regatta.

"Sailors from Austria, the Czech Republic, Slovenia, Italy, and Croatia are joining us. Classes include OPEN Racing, Cruising, and a number of boats with ORC certificates will compete under international rating. We are also expecting double-handed teams, all-female crews, youth teams, and family-friendly cruisers. Expect a mix of racing machines, MAXI boats, and classic family yachts – just the way a regatta should be," say the organizers from JK Delfin.
"We’re counting down days to the regatta. For those who haven't registered yet – there’s still time! Celebrate Earth Day by sailing through our very own paradise on Earth. Sailboat owners are encouraged to register and be part of this special event. Those without a boat can still participate – join an existing crew or gather a team and charter a yacht. This scenic route around Brijuni National Park is exclusive to the Brioni Cup."

The sailing route spans 20 nautical miles from Pula to Np Brijuni to Fažana and Pula.
