Blue Carbon-Aproperties Crowned ORC Champions at Barcelona Annual Sea Regatta (Régate Annuelle en Mer)

23 February 2026 - Barcelona, Spain - The ORC fleet took centre stage at the 2026 Annual Sea Regatta in Barcelona, held from 21–23 February and jointly organised by the Club Nàutic de Barcelona and the Société Nautique de Genève. While the event ran alongside the Barcelona J70 Winter Series, the ORC competition delivered its own compelling contest on coastal courses off the Catalan capital.

Racing for the ORC division began on Saturday with a 7.69-nautical-mile coastal course sailed in moderate and shifting winter conditions. Blue Carbon-Aproperties (TP52), helmed by Toni Guiu, produced a composed and efficient performance to secure victory in the opening race. Enigma (Farr 52 OD) finished second, with Photogenika (ILC 30) completing the top three. The results immediately positioned Blue Carbon-Aproperties as the benchmark team heading into the final day.

Sunday’s programme featured a shorter 4.3-nautical-mile coastal race, demanding sharp boat handling and precise tactical decisions. Once again, Blue Carbon-Aproperties demonstrated consistency and control, repeating their winning performance. Enigma and Photogenika mirrored Saturday’s podium, finishing second and third, respectively.

With two race wins from two starts, Blue Carbon-Aproperties claimed the overall ORC title in convincing fashion. Their back-to-back victories underlined both speed and reliability across varying coastal configurations, while Enigma and Photogenika secured second and third overall after two solid days of racing.
