15 April 2024 - The Offshore Racing Congress (ORC), the Real Club Náutico de Palma (RCNP), and the Spanish ORC Rating Office are forging a robust alliance to expand ORC sailing in Spain and internationally.

A few days ago, the ORC delegation met with RCNP management and other key stakeholders in Mallorca to discuss upcoming events and strategies for increasing participation, especially for the 2025 ORC European Championships and the Copa Del Rey MAPFRE 2024. The meeting underscored a commitment to enhancing the sailing experience and growing the ORC class.

Manuel Fraga, Director of the RCNP, commented: "Our recent meeting with the ORC has reinforced a vital strategic alliance for upcoming international regattas, ensuring their success through our combined expertise. In collaboration with the ORC, we are confident of increasing the ORC class’s participation in the Copa del Rey MAPFRE and the 2025 European Championship, positioning them as benchmark events on the international sailing scene.”

Patrick Lindqvist, Member of the ORC Management Committee, added: "Our recent discussions with RCNP were fruitful, strengthening our resolve to boost participation in flagship events like the Copa Del Rey MAPFRE and the 2025 ORC European Championship, but as well ORC to support Club de Regatas Malaga's intention to bid for the 2027 ORC Europeans. We are eager to work together to achieve these goals and new milestones and continue promoting excellence in our sport."
