With the three-day St. Barths Bucket Regatta due to start Friday, 14 March, 30 of the world’s most magnificent superyachts – ranging in length from 28-56 meters – have descended on Gustavia Harbor, bringing color and grandeur to an already brilliant waterfront. The traditional Bucket racing (sailed under ORCsy, better known as the “Superyacht Rule”) will happen Friday through Sunday.

The superyacht regatta Ibiza JoySail is getting ready to hold its fifth edition from 18 to 21 September 2025, anchoring its prestige as one of the most eagerly anticipated events in the international yacht racing calendar.

The offshore leg of the Sandberg PalmaVela, La Larga, is set to start on April 26th, bringing a rematch of the intense ORC A2 battle witnessed at the recent 200 Millas A Dos de Altea.

The second race of the series was held in superb conditions off the South Coast of Antigua with a light to moderate easterly wind at the start. PRO Hank Stuart and the SYCA Race Committee chose an 18NM course with plenty of wind angles off the breeze. There were plenty of tactics and strategy in play for the seven-leg race.

The 14th edition of the Superyacht Challenge Antigua roared to life on Thursday, 06 March, with a thrilling 20-knot breeze from the southeast. With the wind speed was soaring in the gusts into the high 20s and the Caribbean surf was churning below. The fleet of majestic superyachts produced an electrifying spectacle of raw power and grace.

With registrations recently opened, Tre Golfi Sailing Week 2025 already has a large, growing entry list, both in terms of the number of participants and their quality. Organised by Circolo del Remo e della Vela Italia, with the invaluable support of the Reale Yacht Club Canottieri Savoia - long-term collaborators in ensuring the event’s success - along with Rolex as Official Timepiece and Loro Piana as the main sponsor, the regatta continues to attract world-class crews and yachts from across the globe. Three months out from the event, and with registration open until 31 March, 70 boats have already signed up.

Juan and Thierry Lallemand of CN Altea take first place overall and in ORC B. Modul wins ORC A, and O’Marylou takes ORC C. The 39th edition of the 200 Millas A2 Winter Regatta, organized by Club Náutico de Altea and part of the Spanish A2 Offshore Racing Cup, has crowned its 2025 winners.

The 14th edition of the Superyacht Challenge Antigua has attracted ten magnificent superyachts for the exclusive and exhilarating regatta to be held from 5th-9th March 2025. The event combines world-class racing with a relaxed, social atmosphere, emphasizing fun and friendly competition. There is no overall winner, the highly prized Gosnell Trophy is awarded to the yacht which competed in the Spirit of the Regatta as voted for by the competing yachts and the race committee.

Registration is now open for the 61st edition of the Rolex Big Boat Series, which also serves as the ORC West Coast Championship 2025. St. Francis Yacht Club invites ORC sailors from across North America to an intense week of competition on San Francisco Bay from September 10-14. The ORC class has become a key part of this prestigious regatta, attracting some of the best sailors and boats to the West Coast.

From March 13th to 16th, JK Delfin will be organizing the Full Moon Sailing Spectacle Croatia 2025, featuring two ORC regattas: Full Moon Night Sprint Pula (9 nm) and Full Moon Day Race Pula - Mali Lošinj (42 nm). The Full Moon Sailing Spectacle is our largest sailing event and one of the most significant sailing competitions in Croatia.

The ORC Sportboat European Championship will take place in Torbole from May 11 to 17, 2025. The event, set in one of the most renowned sailing venues thanks to its exceptional weather conditions, will be organized by Circolo Vela Torbole and the Offshore Racing Congress (ORC).

Next weekend, March 1-2, 2025, the ORC International Technical Committee (ITC) will convene in Scheveningen, the Netherlands, for another important meeting. With a strong tradition of hosting ITC gatherings, Scheveningen has proven to be a favored venue, and this year’s meeting is set to continue that legacy. Nearly all ITC experts are expected to attend, ensuring valuable discussions and progress in ORC technical developments.

Andy Claughton, ITC Chairman and a leading expert in yacht design and rating rules, will share insights on classic yachts, SuperYacht developments, and the latest ORC updates, including Weather Routing Scoring improvements and new rating rule innovations for 2025.
