Season's Greetings from ORC

The upcoming ORC DH World Championship to be held in June in Norway and ORC European Championship in the Aaland Islands in August has prompted ORC, KNS and the Finnish Offshore Association to organize recent seminars and promotions led by ORC Chief Measurer Zoran Grubiša.

The German Offshore Award, a prestigious event in the sailing community, marked its 17th edition on Monday evening in the grand ballroom of Hamburg City Hall. Dr Wolfgang Schäfer, a long-time Member of the ORC Board and Vice Chairman for many years, was bestowed with the esteemed Lifetime Achievement Award, a testament to his significant contributions to the sport.

In Winchester, UK, a group of the world’s leading sailing experts gathered on April 6-7 for the first 2024 ORC International Technical Committee (ITC) meeting. Their goal? To ensure that yacht racing is as fair and exciting as possible, whether for any monohull sailing boat, luxurious superyachts, or speedy multihulls.

Closer collaboration between ORC, RCNP, and the Spanish ORC Rating Office promises a stronger presence of ORC sailing in Spain and beyond!
