Royal Malta Yacht Club to host 2023 ORC European Championships
Ta’Xbiex, Malta – The Royal Malta Yacht Club announced it will play host to the 2023 ORC European Championships between the 23rd April and 1st May 2023.
Organised under the authority of the Offshore Racing Congress, the Malta Sailing Federation and the support of Yachting Malta Limited, the event is set to welcome a substantial European fleet to Malta’s Mediterranean waters and excellent sailing conditions.
The event is open to all boats with a valid ORC International Certificate and will be divided into three Classes – A, B and C. A Corinthian Division will also be available and the World Sailing Sailor Categorisation Code Regulation 22 shall apply.
The 2023 ORC European Championships will consist of a long offshore race, a short offshore race for which the racing area will be around the Maltese islands and the Malta – Sicily channels, whilst a series of inshore races will take place along the North-East Coast of Malta.
Registration is now open and entries will be accepted until the 9th April.
