Monfalcone - the northernmost point of the Mediterranean
The Offshore Racing Congress (ORC) is thrilled to announce that Yacht Club Monfalcone in Italy has been awarded the ORC Double Handed World Championship 2025.
Welcome to Monfalcone, the home of sailing in the Adriatic and the world capital of shipbuilding. Monfalcone has its DNA in the sea, which is the northernmost point of the Mediterranean.
Due to its favourable weather conditions, the location was considered one of the best spots in the Mediterranean. Professional sailing teams and pro sailors have chosen it as a new training base for Olympic classes.
The bid to host the ORC DH World Championship - Yacht Club Monfalcone
Yacht Club Monfalcone was founded in 1976 with the name of Yacht Club Hannibal and as the first federal center for sailing in Italy. Over the course of almost 50 years of activity, it has organized various national and international events, becoming the absolute point of reference for offshore sailing in the upper Adriatic.
Located at the top of the Upper Adriatic in a city built on nautical tradition, Marina Monfalcone offers 298 berths for hulls up to 40 meters long. Protected from Bora and Libeccio winds and with direct access to the sea, we provide guests and their vessels with hospitality, service, and safety all year round. Monfalcone Shipyard offers complete services of custom shipwright carpentry, fiberglass repair, and refinishing and is equipped for all types of maintenance and seasonal refitting for sailing yachts, catamarans, and motor boats up to 50 meters.
