Welcome to sail in Norway!

After the ORC European Championship in Hankø in August 2022, the Royal Norwegian Yacht Club hosts the ORC Double Handed World Championship 2024

The championship will kick off in the vibrant city of Oslo and conclude in the historic coastal town of Tønsberg. The race will be based on the legendary Skaw Racecourse, offering good opportunities for variations and shortening.

There are several exciting shorthanded regattas in Norway during the same period that you can participate in alongside the DH World Championship. Skagen Race, Oslofjorden Rundt, Two Star, Shetland Race, and Drøbak-Tristein regattas are scheduled in May and June. 

Would you like to participate but unable to transport your boat to Norway? KNS will be happy to assist with chartering options.

KNS also offers boat measurements for 200 euros, allowing you to obtain a valid ORCi Certificate.

The Royal Norwegian Yacht Club is proud to announce the ORC Double Handed World Championship 2024, coming to Norway! Come and sail with us from Oslo to Tønsberg!
KNS is Norway's largest sailing association and an active regatta organizer. KNS is affiliated with the Norwegian Sailing Association (NSF); among approx 4,500 members, you will find a sizeable junior group, many keen girl sailors, hundreds of tour and ocean race sailors and several of Norway's best regatta sailors.
