Grand conclusion of the Rolex South Atlantic Circuit 2024, which was held on January 13-19. The overall winner was the boat KATARA, owned by Julián Somodi from the Yacht Club Argentino.

Six classes raced in the fourth edition of the event. A wide range of conditions ensured that the best teams found their way to the top of the leaderboard after a week of racing.

Thirty Racer and CruiserRacer designs from 14 US states enjoyed ideal reaching conditions for the 60-mile 67th annual edition of the Wirth Munroe Race from Miami to Palm Beach on December 1st. This race is the second in the SORC’s Islands in the Stream series, a coastal classic dating back to 1957, and this year featured perfect southeast breezes of 12-15 knots and warm South Florida temperatures.

The ORC community mourns the recent passing of noted marine technologist Lex Keuning at his home in Willemstad, Netherlands. During his extensive career of scientific research at Delft University, he made ground-breaking contributions to hydrodynamics and boat and ship design, and was a valued member of the ORC’s International Technical Committee (ITC).

The Superyacht Cup Palma invites entries over 24m in length and to ensure fair racing will use ORCsy rating rules and scoring, including the new Weather Routing Scoring method pioneered by ORC. For the first time the J Class entries will also use ORCsy rules and scoring.

Registration for the Giorgio Armani Superyacht Regatta 2024 is officially open as of today. The event, supported by Giorgio Armani, one of the most iconic Italian brands in the world, will take place from 4th to 8th June and is open to Superyachts with a minimum length of 90 feet.
